Brighton Crime Wave and Waterstones welcome back Abir Mukherjee, author of the hugely successful Sam Wyndham series, who is joining us at Crime Wave to discuss his new thriller ‘Hunted’.
Abir Mukherjee has stepped away from his hugely successful, five-book Sam Wyndham series to bring us ‘Hunted’, a standalone thriller that finds two devastated parents in a race against time to track down their children, who are suspected of terrorist atrocities.
Abir is not only a terrific novelist, adept at penning intelligent, fast-paced, suspense filled page-turners, but he is also a brilliant speaker and thoroughly engaging interviewee which is why we are so thrilled that he is coming back to Brighton Waterstones to take part in Crime Wave.
and meet our grilling candidate, Tania Tay
Tania worked as an advertising copywriter in agencies from Singapore to London. Her writing explores female friendship, and the relationship between mothers and daughters. Occasionally there’s a supernatural twist.
Her debut novel, THE OTHER WOMAN is a perfect slice of domestic noir,
Jade has the life she always wanted: a husband and three perfect children. She’s happy. Except, recently that isn’t enough. Her husband is never home, and when he is, he’s distant. She’s a constant source of disappointment to her mum, and even her children are starting to push her away.
Then she unexpectedly finds herself reconnecting with Christina, an old friend from university, and she starts to feel like herself again.
As the women become closer, and Christina needs a place to stay, Jade welcomes her into their chaotic family home. But when Jade discovers a suspicious text on her husband’s phone, she soon she starts questioning those around her.
